Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum is a hidden jewel! It displays objects since the first occupation of the island till the classical period. The room dedicated to Salamis' battle was very instructive telling all the details about the heroes that fought there and the strategies employed in the battle, even with schemes that I found incredibly illustrative. The lady working at the museum was very friendly and told us interesting facts and suggestions for our visit.

This is a wonderful little musem housed in a neat building with 3 modern and well laid out galleries. The items on display go from the prehistoric period and through to the classical Greek era.
The island of Salamina played a prominent role in history and it is reflected in the displays you see here. The defeat of the Persians by the ancient Greeks is explained fully in one of the galleries. A defining moment in world history!
We found the lady who was working in the museum to be especially friendly and helpful.
For just a couple of euros entrance fee we saw one of the nicest small museums we have yet visited in Greece.
