Many are the places that combine sky and blue sea, mountains and beautiful scenery. But Cinque Terre offers much more than that: this piece of paradise has the beauty of typical houses of Italy, its hospitable people, the delicious food, the wineries, the alleys and...More

We stayed in Levanto, and NOT in one of the five villages. There is an excellent train service between Levanto and the five villages, so there is absolutely no need to stay in one of the villages. Accommodation in the villages is scarce, not of...More

My husband and I have reservations in Riomaggiore starting May 27, 2017 and am suppose to arrive there no later than 7pm. I am trying to figure out if I can make it from St. Johann im Pongau within a day to arrive there by 7pm. We will not have a car. I have been trying to verify trains/buses/flights, etc. and am having a hard time. I've been trying to use an app called Rome2rio. Can you tell me the best websites and/or app to use that could give me the most direct, economical options using various means of transportation? And if you could figure out a day itinerary for me to see if we could make it, that would be great. Thanks, Cindy Richardson

Greetings, I would like to know how long I should plan to stay in the 5 Lands to properly visit the area. Also, we are planning to come in mid-August and wonder if this is also a place where we can spend time at the beach, and if so, which one? We would be most grateful for any advice. Thank you, P Neale
