Beautiful Cathedral!

It´s not so big than others but is beautiful, you can found it on the downtown and maybe you want an icecream after the visit.

The cathedral is well maintained and has a spectacular alter, and the doors look very old and distinguished. But the rest of the church is plain except for the bell towers and Dome. The bells are numerous and they are well used to call to service and to celebrate special events. A range of sizes and tones, with the bell... More

One already feels like they are in Europe before walking in to the Cathedral - Minor Basilica, but once entering, you're transformed to another place and time. Incredible history, particularly when you learn about San Miguel de la Mora and his role in Colima during the Christian persecution/Cristero War. Unfortunately, there don't appear to be any organized tours, but do... More

Beautiful a lot of history. The cathedral is near the portales which is a place where people gather and there was a quiosco where they had music.

Built since 1527, it acquired its current characteristics between 1820 and 1894, directed by Lucio Uribe. Oustanding in its neoclassical facade, is the big central cupola as well as its lonic- style columns. The interior decoration is also neoclassical, particulary the ceder woods carvings.
