Took our 4-year old granddaughter and enjoyed just as much as we did, toasting marshmellows was the highlight for her. Getting up close to the past brings it all to life for any age... never been asked so many questions. Well worth the entrance fee...More

We come here every year, usually twice, and the kids are totally absorbed each time. Lots of hands-on exhibits - the children especially enjoy the telecommunications exhibition where they can make calls on all manner of working vintage telephones. Don't miss making toast on an...More

A marvellous local museum, on the way to being outstanding after years of tight funding. Unprepossing location and an undistinguished first impression disguise first rate displays and contents in spacious and uncluttered settings.

If they have an interest in history then it would. All the displays are interactive, and I think the telephone room would be a favourite.

Yes, but as other people have said, some spaces would be a bit tight for a large buggy. Maybe a baby carrier would be easier if you have one? They have changing facilities so you should be well catered for :)
