Walk along Calle Calz. de los Hereos all the way to Francisco Madero and the Plaza Principal. You will pass the main attractions of the old city, shops and coffee places.

A must see when in Leon GTO. You can walk the "malecón", which is the beautiful boardwalk, perfect for a morning stroll or any time of day, in fact. Nice landscaping, relatively clean. Pet friendly.

This is the center piece of what Leon is famous for shoes boots leather items. Where almost everyone you meet has a family member who has some credible relationship with this industry of Calzada. This monument to the industry is a must see when visiting the city. The area is close proximity to Centro de Convenciones.

This structure is not old but it has very old historic value and is worth a detour. It stands over the old entrance to Leon.

Another arch in a traffic circle but marks the end/beginning of a tree lined walk with benches connecting to the Sagrato Corazon and then the historic center, mercados, plaza major, etal.
