My family had an excellent experience with East Cape Divers. I dove while my wife and daughter snorkled, and unlike some operations where the snorkling is an afterthought, East Cape took them to a suitable spot closer to shore with a dive master along to guide them. For the diving, the equipment was good (and the boat has both shade and mini-bathroom) and the dives were well run. The reefs here don't provide a Caribbean-style, color-saturated landscape, but the marine life is plentiful. The only thing I would have preferred is more discussion about what we saw once back on board. We were moving between sites in an open boat so I understand the difficulty, but given that I had never dived in this region, I was hoping for a little run through of the highlights. But that's a minor point. Overall, I would most definitely recommend East Cape.

My second time on two separate trips to dive with East Cape Explorers. I had a blast! Especially the trip to Gordo Banks, we were able to see giant school of fish and school of hammerheads and a bunch of silky. Couldn't ask for more. Charlie and the team are great, they washed our gears after the dive and would definitely come back to cabo and dive with them again!

We had a great time doing two dives with Simon of East Cape Divers. He was professional, prepared for the dives, and VERY safe. I was very impressed at how he handled my two kids (ages 12 & 15) and felt very comfortable with all aspects of our dives. We will definitely be a using Simon and Claire again! Highly recommend.

I am a solo diver, so understand the difficulty with fitting into a busy dive schedule, but this has been the only place that could not fit me in. Communication with the company was limited. I did not always receive a response, so might have missed opportunities.
It did look like a great place to dive, from what I could see from the surface. Might try again, if I go back.

Absoloutely phenomenal diving over the whole 2 weeks with friendly and knowledgeable instructors. In one day we dived with sperm whales a sea lion colony and whale sharks.If diving or wildlife is you thing this you can't afford to miss east cape divers.

Rodolfo Garcia is an excellent dive master and his marine biology background made our dive experience fantastic. East Cape Divers really took care if us and made sure we had the best dive possible.

I wanted to learn how to dive and the East Cape was a great place to do that with East Cape Divers. The dive master is really great and along with the PADI on-line course, I learned quickly and really enjoyed the experience of being certified. The open water dives were great and I can't wait to do it again. The hotel Palmas de Cortez is definitely the nicest hotel in the area and it's great for families.

Do you rent snorkeling gear? If so what is the cost?

I'm aware that a number of Cortez marine species are seasonal, so I'm wondering what marine animals would likely be present to see if scuba diving in February.
I recall seeing a sign at Cabo Pulmo that outlined the times of the year when various species are most/least likely to be present, but haven't been able to find anything on-line to provide such an overview. If anyone can please help I'd appreciate it. Thanks
