This was a great tour inclusion (even though it is very expensive) as you can walk out on a glass bridge to view the icefields, enjoy a nice meals and go on a 6-wheel drive bus onto the icefields. You do NOT need crampons but you definitely need wind-proof and waterproof clothing and boots. The wind and weather can change at any moment.

This is a shrilly beautiful drive in both directions, we drove through on our RV trip and the surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful, if you’re lucky then you can encounter lots of wildlife. You can stop in quite a few spots to rest and get even better views, so be sure to stop as often as your trip/time will allow to avoid missing too much.

JB from Australia is a super awesome tour guide. He would go above and beyond to provide the greatest service to his guests. My son lost his phone on the glacier and he went to find it with a great spirit and without any complaint at all. We deeply love his sense of humor. The tour was funny, entertaining and informational at the same time. We would gladly recommend this tour to our friends and family. Way to go JB!!

Words can’t describe how beautiful the drive is. Every minute you see amazing views all around, you just can’t take in the beauty. So many places to stop to take photos and stunning waterfalls and the Glacier you can climb on way up to Jasper. Allow a day so you can go slowly and same on return trip. Take plenty to drink and snacks as nowhere really to stop off and have plenty of fuel. Travelled all over world and this was one of highlights for us and best thing we did on 3 week trip to Canada

We drove from Banff to Jasper, stopping along the way to visit Sunwapta and Athabasca Falls and the Valley of Five Lakes Trail and several other turnouts eg Tangle Falls. On the return trip, we stopped at the Athabasca Glacier and also did the Parker Ridge hike as well as stopping at various turnouts. Be sure to download the GyPSy app and appropriate audio tour. Since it works on GPS and not cellular service, you can have your running commentary as you drive.

Once in a lifetime experience. Must is if you are in Jasper or Banff. You’re allowed 15 minutes to walk on the glacier, You can even fill up your water bottle and drink the glacier water. The monstrous bus that takes you up to the Glacier is super fun and the Guide shares a lot of history scientific facts about the area in the glacier. It’s very sad that disclosure only has 31 more years to live. Again highly recommended the tour.

we probably drove up and down the highway for different activities 5 times. It's just always beautiful. In early morning, in late afternoon, from and to, just breathtaking. And absolutely worth the time to stop over multiple times~
