We’ve come to find out Banff isn’t the most stroller/kid friendly place to visit, but the gondola was the perfect adventure for us. We have a one year old and a three month old, used our backpack carriers, and explored up top. There is enough...More

The amazing mountain ranges in Banff National Park included Sulphur Mountain, snow capped rising above the greenery of the forest. I explored the Alps last year and I would say with pride our Canadian Rockies are at least equivalent in awesome views. Temperature as you...More

Spectacular and panoramic views of the peaks and lakes and cloud formations- what an amazing view. If you have the time, it’s definitely worth walking it up. It was a good walk up the mountain and met people with all levels of fitness and age...More

We took the gondola to the sulphuric mountain top. The ride was okay despite my fear of height. The view was absolutely breathtaking. The pictures we took are like postcards. There is a restaurant at the top. We purchased the dining experience package in advance....More

This is a superb activity when visiting Banff. From the trailhead you have a zig zag route of around 5.5km to the summit of Sulphur mountain. Total ascent is 670m. The route back is via the same route. You can get a coffee, drink or...More

The hike to the top of the sulphur mountain is 5.5km each way. The trail is maintained well and involves a LOT of switchbacks all the way up to the top - it can get a bit demoralising but trust me it’s worth it!! When...More

We hiked from the parking lot up the switchbacks to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Sure, you can take the gondola, but if you want to get your steps in and see fabulous vistas, hiking up is the way to go. First, when you get...More

We got the local bus to the Cave & Basin Centre. From there we walked along a narrow bitumen road past some other buildings, & from which we soon headed into the forest to the left on a well used trail. It was not signposted,...More

Fantastic setting. Really interesting displays once you arrive at the summit in 4 seat Gondola Car. I don’t like heights but was fine both ways. Meal in Sky Bistro was really good but the views topped it all. Absolutely stunning. Special thanks to the waiting...More

Absolutely, you can buy one way down no problem. Can't remember the cost and take about 9 minutes with an option of a picture purchase, or essential and no hassle. Enjoy
