With washrooms, picnic tables, bridges, trails and room for children to run around and explore this is a great spot to stop for a picnic. You can also link up with the easy and interesting trail to Bankhead from here.

We stop here often! The ponds are pretty(even with the neon green algae), and the mountain views are stunning. There are several picnic tables in the area, and it's a great place to let your kids run wild!

Worth a stop here and walk around the ponds. It is peaceful, quiet and the crowds are not here! Have a picnic here as well.

Although I have been to Lake Minnewanka many times, I had never stopped here until this trip. The lakes were so picturesque. Great picnic and photo spot. Don't miss it!
