Beautiful falls

Well worth a visit. In November the river below the falls is starting to freeze. Very spectacular! Walkway to falls Lookout closed (due to icy conditions I assume).

If you are looking for a quick stop to view the mountains, see a waterfall, take a nice picture, or teach the kids how to skip rocks this is the place. It is easy to find (2 mins from gondola/hot springs). Great view of the mountains and some good photo opportunities. You can stroll past the viewing wall and skip... More

Very low fall. A lot of water. Very close to (or in) Banff, otherwise not really worth to go and see.

This is an awesome local spot to go and visit. We were taken there on a wildlife morning tour and it was awesome. Definitely a must see! It is beautiful and not even that far from town.

Beautiful walk from Fairmont, and definitely worth it. The falls were beautiful flowing in the river and mountain backdrop.

Very accessible with lots of parking, and the restaurants and shops of the Banff Springs Hotel are just a short walk up the hill.

We visited 2 years ago and took the exact same picture of our children both times. This place is stunning. After visiting the Cave and Basin Historical park we came here to try and get pictures and view falls. However high traffic from tourists and zero parking made us head back to our hotel. (this was midday August) So on... More

Bow Falls we didn't spend alot of time at, because there wasn't much hiking required to see all the views! The falls is very pretty and the view down the river is gorgeous. There is some hiking trails above the falls that we did not take, but there is plenty to hike around and look at if you're looking for... More

You can either drive there or do the short little hike from town. We did the hike as we had our dog and we wanted to get out and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Goes super fast, like 1.5km maybe one way? The falls are cool when your there, great for a few pics and then time to go. Worth... More
