Truly a Winter Wonderland, with the lake frozen, the snow on the trees and the majestic mountains as a back drop. It is absolutely stunning! The Fairmont @Lake Louise was having their World famous ice sculpture carving contest. It was amazing to see these talented people create works of art out of ice.

The picture tells the story, breathtaking beautiful. Visited Banff National Park while a short stay in Calgary Canada. It was a sunny winter day, crisp and cold, I felt I was at the North-pole. Such a winter wonderland.

Lake Louise is a gorgeous turquoise-coloured glacier lake in Banff National Park. Despite its popularity, it's still a must-see. The lake is surrounded by tall snow-peaked mountains and the natural beauty of the area is simply incredible. If you arrive to the lake around 7 am, you will be able to experience a more peaceful and less crowded environment at... More

Having seen the spectacular Lake Louise in Summer we wondered what it would be like in the middle of winter. Completely different and very charming. Well worth the effort of going again. Different this time to walk on Lake Louise and watch people skating on her.

I do not think I could explain how incredibly breathtakingly beautiful Lake Louise is. You see it in pictures and it looks nice of course, but it is sincerely nothing close to the real deal. This place truly is mother nature at its finest, it looks painted! I was lucky enough to visit during summer months, so I can't vouch... More

Lake Louise is a wonderful snowboarding experience. I had a full day lesson and took the gondola the next trip out. The staff is very helpful. Thanks to leighton (sorry about spelling) for very helpful lessons that made me feel super comfortable on the snowboard with it being my first time on one. Can't wait to go back again!!

We went there in July, so it was still summer and were able to see one of the best views of the lake. You can just enjoy the view if you want or else there are other optional activities to do like hike around. You won't be disappointed with either. Also, if you want to take good pictures along with... More

We visited Lake Louise in October so the lake was just starting to ice over. The Chateau Fairmont does not distract from the beauty of the lake and is a warm welcome at the end of the walk around the lake. The sun was peaking through the clouds on the day we visited with a steady light snowfall. It was... More

I went during the winter. It was frozen, but the hike around or on it was amazing. Even if you are just there to see the views, you can see people skating, or people ice climbing on the mountain.
