About Calgary River Experience
Embark on Calgary’s only guided river experience, view downtown Calgary from the original highway, The Bow River. There are lots of amazing architecture in Calgary, old and new bridges, as well as new and historic office and residential high-rises which we have the opportunity to see as we float down the river. It is a view of the inner city that even long-time residents of Calgary have never expeineced.

I had a lovely afternoon floating down the Bow River on a raft with some family and friends on Friday, August 14, 2020. It was a lovely and tranquil afternoon. As it was sunny, I wish that I had not forgotten my hat; but my glasses do darken with the sun, so it was not too hard on me for the one and a half hour float from the Pumphouse Theatre to the Pearce Estate Park. Pearce Estate Park is a beautiful destination all on its own and well worth spending some time in. Because of Covid-19, Mukwah was not offering its usual shuttle back to the Pumphouse Theatre from the Pearce Estate Park; so we had to organize that ourselves, meeting at the Pearce Estate Park and leaving some of the cars there at 12:00 noon, followed by driving some of the cars to the Pumphouse Theatre for 12:30 P.M. After arriving back at the Pearce Estate Park, we then had to drive back to the Pumphouse Theatre to pick up the cars parked there. That was not all bad though, being as that did give us some time to enjoy the Pearce Estate Park area a bit following the float down the river. :-)

I booked a tour with Calgary River Experience as a team build and it was even better than we hoped. Our staff had incredible feed back about how much they enjoyed their experience and bonded with their coworkers. I am recommending this tour to our other stores and to anyone who would like to experience a wonderful trip down the Bow River. The C.R.E. team was a delight to work with and helped us create a lasting memory as a team. Thank you Calgary River Experience!

Calgary knows how to make a river picturesque The surrounding area of the river goes for a distance past China town to wherever. It doesn’t matter the grounds are meticulous with various cultural features. You can walk safely without Bering run over by bicycles because they have their own lane. Could have just walked forever and when tired sat on a lovely neck or chair provided. The flowers throughout gorgeous and cleaner than any city seen. The mayors of cities in USA should go there for ideas on cleanliness and natural ideas

Walked down from our hotel on 7th (not far from tower) and started walk along the river bank by Fort Calgary. Pathways are wide & there are dedicated bicycle pathways as well fit cyclists. We walked all way round to top of city & onto Princes Island Park. You get great views of city from many different angles as you go. Plenty of wildlife to see along the way & explore nearby parks. Allow yourself a good couple of hours as am sure you will find hidden gems along the way to interest you as we did. Highly recommend this walk for people of all ages.
