prince's Island Park is a beautiful spot in the center of Calgary which is easy to access by car or public transit. It is a beautiful natural spot with playgrounds, eating place, washroom, and drinking water. Calgary's flora and fauna specific to any season can be enjoyed. Also, it gives access to a self-guided learning tour about the river habitat... More

A wonderful park in the center of the city. Active people abound, but also serene spaces. Excellent view of the city and a great place to unwind.

This is a lovely park with beautiful, relaxing walks and lots of birdlife. Our time was a little shorter than we would have liked, but it was still a very worthwhile visit.

I found it relaxing to go for a walk after a long day of work, on my recent business trip. You have an excellent view of the skyline and the bow river valley. The little lake in the middle of the island was frozen, with a few people skating on it. Great to enjoy some nature, within about 15 minutes... More

Great place to unwind after work or at lunch. Weather you want to bike, run, or just read a book under a tree. It's a nice respite to the busy city. And check out the geese along the river path.

Prince's Island Park is a beautiful place to go for a walk/run/cycle! It is often buzzing with people, critters, and plants. One word of warning: Stay away from the Canadian Geese. Far far away. They bite and will chase you. Also, the river might not look dangerous, but it moves very quickly. I would recommend admiring from afar.

In the warm weather, summer time, this park is buzzing with activity and people. Often weekends there are festivals or some special group events like world partnership walk or food festivals. It is never boring, with large children's play areas or quiet spots and benches to sit by the edge of the river, feed the geese, and enjoy the serene... More

This is a sweet little place to walk through on a sunny day. Grab a coffee and chill out by the "beach" in the summer. I brought my nephew (6) out here and he loved playing in the water and running up the hills.

We spent a lovely Sunday afternoon walking the downtown area this spring. This particular area was very pretty and I took a lot of pictures. it wasn't too crowded, so we enjoyed our exploring.
