A nice park near City Hall and the centre of activity for numerous events. It was a key location during the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. During the Stampede you will find daily activities revolving around the Stampede theme -- including a chuckwagon pancake breakfast. Throughout...More

It was fine day so it was a pleasure to stroll around this square which is important in relation to celebrating the 1988 Olympics. The hanging baskets of flowers added to the neat look

I love coming here especially when there is an event. Everything is beautiful about it. The flowers, the water and everything else except one thing. Sometimes, there are undesirable people around which can get uncomfortable...but this doesn't stop me from coming and enjoying downtown.

The park is lovely. We visited on a sunny day, enjoyed the flowers and serenity. There are tables where one can enjoy a packed lunch.

Olympic plaza is not something you're going write home and wax poetic about. It's in Downtown, it's celebrating the Olympics that were held here, it's a mish mash of a bunch of different art and sculpture things. It's a place to hang out and just...More

When you think about downtown Calgary, there are only really two iconic places to experience - Prince's Island and Olympic Plaza. They are keeping Olympic Plaza very up to date, with contemporary art and installations, attentive maintenance, and a really colourful painted image in the...More

I just found the sculpture itself interesting. And I don’t know what it is about it, but somehow it’s relaxing to look at it. It’s peaceful. You want to look and just absorb it for awhile.
