Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's quite sad being downtown, with all the office buildings closed to the public, the Plus 15 network closed, and bars and restaurants, if they are open at all, just offering take-out - there are hardly any people about. And no washrooms open anywhere. But as things start to reopen, and when (hopefully not if) office workers return to the downtown, the place should liven up, and the gentlemen in the sculpture will be saying to each other: "Well finally it's over, we made it through!"

Along the Stephen Avenue pedestrian mall [just west of 1st St SW, on the north side] is this interesting statue. Two businessmen meet. Are they talking about family? A business matter? Something else? The bronze work is life-sized. The warmth of the greeting attracts your interest.

The Conversation was one of the very first art works installed along 8 th Avenue in downtown Calgary. I used to walk past it almost daily back in the early 80’s but these days seeing it is just an occasional treat . But it never fails to remind me to find the time to connect with others no matter how busy your day or how much of a hurry you are to get somewhere.

Two Morbidly Obese statues bumping into each other, Calgary has the worst public art I have ever seen in a city of over 100K

Took a walk on this street and saw the sculpture. Well done, but did not know the meaning. It is an area full of life. Worth the walk.

I have always liked this work of art in downtown Calgary especially now in the days of waning face to face conversations. Always nice to see the two gentlemen having a chat.

The Conversation Sculpture was my favourite public sculpture in a city with more works of sculpture than you could shake a stick at. It is located in the pedestrianised Stephen Ave./8th Ave where the sidewalk would be otherwise. If art reflects life, then this work is superb. Were it not for the presence of people taking photos, you could imagine bumping into these guys and apologising. What are they talking about? Is it a detail in a business proposition? Are they discussing last night's "game" on the TV? Are they arranging a BBQ? The sculpture has humour and you leave it sensing that you were eavesdropping on two guys talking to each other with a purpose.

Outside the Bay store on the Stephen Avenue Walk is a life-sized, true-to-scale, realistic, metal sculpture. It’s both serious and a bit silly. Two portly businessmen stand facing each other, one taller than the other. Both of them hold valises in their left hands. Both of them wear fedoras or similar hats. Both of them also wear trench coats. Both men have well-fed and round faces. The taller man raises his right arm, as if in reassurance or for a handshake, and nearly touches the shorter man’s upper sleeve. The shorter man gestures with upturned fingers in front of his chest, as if to make a point. As public art sculptures go, this one seems likely to be one of a kind! If you're in the area, stop and snap a photo!

Been based in the CBD of Calgary, it was a pleasure to walk around and view the great number of sculptures around this lovely city whether it was day or nigh, they represented things to do with Alberta and the history of Calgary.
