At this price point, my expectations for service and style are at a certain level that this course just didn't match. There is amazing scenery, some fun hole layouts...but serious lack of service.

We were greeted when we arrived and the staff in the pro shop were welcoming. But the on course service was lame. Although the cart was out, it was not stocked beyond booze, pop, chips and chocolate bars. Settled for a chocolate bar and it was older than time itself. Later tried to get real food from clubhouse ...hardly any options and not friendly. Post-game agreed to go in for a drink and server was friendly but told us it was best that we didn't order food since they only had one person in the kitchen and service would be slow.

Another disappointment is the path to some of the red tee boxes. There should be a cart path to every tee box and there isn't...and you can't take the car up the slope.

West of YYC, with phenomenal views of the Bow river valley and the downtown
city core,---Quite rolling in some areas--lots of up and downs and a couple of holes with long fairway carries.
Course is in above average condition---tees are reasonable--fairways dry in some
locations---greens in good shape, and difficult.
Impressive club house and pro shop. Friendly service throughout, and Yes!--there was a
beverage cart.
Monday night--- fish and chip special.
Overall--enjoyable experience.

This course is located just outside of Calgary in Springbank - definitely a bit hard to find as there was some signage missing due to construction on the entrance roads. The front 9 holes are tough and a bit gimmicky, lots of up and down elevation changes, but beautiful views of the gorgeous blue Bearspaw Reservoir and downtown Calgary in the distance. The back 9 holes are more links style, fairways are wider and not as many trees. Unfortunately the greens were in pretty rough shape, many had just been punched, however they did not offer any discount on the green fees, which they should have!! The Gallery restaurant has beautiful log cabin style decor with a large patio overlooking the course. Our group of 8 had dinner, most ordered appetizers which were filling and tasty. One thing they can improve - the thai lettuce wraps came with tiny little leaves of lettuce that were barely big enough to put a spoonful of the mix on, never mind being able to actually "wrap" anything! Overall it was a decent meal.

Course was great, pro shop staff was very friendly and professional. This review does not reflect on course or pro shop. We were very disappointed in restaurant/bar server. My girlfriend and I stopped after golfing for a beer, we were the only ones in the restaurant and the server was clearly NOT interested in being there or us for that matter. We were trying to be friendly and interact with her, but very cold and unprofessional in her attitude and her dress, I personally don’t think short spandex shorts are appropriate for front line staff of a restaurant. Was not impressed!

We played this course in a Tournament and it is in great shape the greens are rolling well and the overall course looks fantastic. The staff is very friendly and the whole experience made for a great day. This is a course that you must play if you enjoy golf , great greens, lush fairways and cold beverages!

Played on a Tuesday morning. The restaurant was closed so my playing partner couldn't get a decaf coffee, and there was no drink cart during the entire round despite the course being quite busy as far as we could see. They charged their normal weekday rate but didn't mention when we checked in that the greens were in absolutely terrible shape, nor was a discount offered. Every putt bounced before reaching the hole. Unfortunate, as I heard they are under new management and I REALLY dislike feeling like I've been ripped off after a round but I did today. I also hosted a business guest which annoyed me even more as he is an avid golfer. Definitely disappointed, will consider other courses first.

Less than 30 minutes from Downtown Calgary. This is a gem of a course. Perfect balance when considering location, style of course and type of event. Doesn't matter if it is an organized day for a 100 or just wanting a change of scenery with the guys ....doesn't get much better than this! The front has target golf demands while taking in the view across the Bow and to the City. The back nine opens up to the true meaning of Links golf with a backdrop of the wonder that is the Rockies. Oh, and the course is playing great. You will be greeted warmly by great staff and the marshals are some of the coolest, funniest crew you will ever meet. They do it for the love of the game and the club. Don't be in a rush to get away either. Plenty of choice on draft, a really great menu and more welcoming staff. Played many other courses in the area but this truly is my go to. Hope you have as much fun as I do. Long and straight!!!

I started golfing at Springank Links last year, and absolutely love this course. It is a 10 minute drive outside of Calgary and so worth it. The views are amazing, the course is in such great condition and the staff are always friendly, accommodating and genuinely happy to see you. The clubhouse is a must after your round with a great menu and very reasonable prices. This is by far my favourite course in Calgary.

Please please please, if you are visiting the Calgary avoid this plagued course at all costs. Horrible teeboxes, patched greens, lumpy poor grass fairways and gimic holes like you wouldn’t believe. No ball washers, gps, sand to fill divots or nothing. Mall cop marshals and great pro shop guys. Go play Mckenzie, serenity or Crossfield these courses are well taken care of and better facility. The greens keeper and maintenance manager should be fired I have played 30 courses in Alberta yearly and this is by far the worst I have ever seen.

Springbank Links is a golf course I have played many times over the years and it never fails to provide challenge, rewards and awesome views. This year the greens and fairways are in exceptional shape, with changes in mowing of areas around greens and the rough that have made the course more playable for all and framing the holes better visually. The front nine does have several holes that wander through tree-lined wide fairways and some do require your shot to carry over the natural valleys of the area. The back nine is laid out with less elevation changes and trees to worry about, but four ponds keep you on your toes. Distances are marked at the start of each hole, fairway 100/150/200/250 markers in the fairway, and colour coded flags are there for those who haven’t moved into handheld gps technology or range finders. This is a course that can be as relaxing or challenging as you make it, but be sure to pick the correct tee box for your ability and enjoy yourself!
