Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

These tree sculptures provide excellent animation for short stretch of Stephen Avenue Walk. They make you look up, just like real trees do, and even better, on a windy day, they reduce the wind-tunnelling. I visited them again when I was taking in the brilliant winter festivals which take place mid-February, Chinook Blast and Calgary Glow. I was particularly lucky, as it was so warm, I didn't even need to wear gloves most of the time. Quite magical!

I was on an errand downtown and walked down Stephen Avenue. Although they are huge, these tree statues are not imposing or ugly. I understand they were installed as an antidote to the wind tunnelling new buildings had created. I'm not downtown at night much, but apparently they are nicely lit as well.

I wrote a long review for this & trip advisor said I was already a member & would not accept the review which took me a very long time to write so this review will be very short in case the same happens again. These tree sculptures were built to stop the wind which is very heavy here. Some calgarians were upset because living trees were chopped down but most calgarians have accepted them now & they do work well against the wind.

This sculpture is useful in decreasing the wind tunneling in this part of downtown. It's unfortunate that real trees were removed for this and other development in the area.

The tree sculptures themselves are ok, neat to look at, grab a photo and move on. At night, the lights are more impressive. All in all, I wouldn't go here just for those but Stephen Ave itself is busy, entertaining and worth a visit especially at Christmas time or in the summer lunch hour - lots of hustle and bustle to ealk around and enjoy.

I am not sure if they look like trees but whatever they are, they look neat and gives the city an industrial look.
Located right in the heart of Downtown Calgary, these sculptures are a cool view from all the restaurants near by as well as pedestrians on the street. Don't forget that there are tons of shopping centers and little bistros along that street. Also if you are traveling in winter, the +15 Skywalk is right there.

I think the three sculptures are quite special. It is very easy to find the sculptures. Some people told me that I could feel cool air in summer when I stood under them.Unfortunatly it was May.I did not try that. But the design of the sculptures is nice and unique.I also visited the downtown of Calgary. After visited the whole city I realised that the city was very tiny and clean.Good for living here not travelling to.
