Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was saddened to read the report about 'Graceless in Calgary' where the writer had been a member when a previous minister was in attendance. Victor Kim was the minister there for 25 years and has now left for another church...So this is a remark experienced at least 25 years ago! What a shame! I myself have been a member for 8 years and have found spiritual growth and loving people who shine forth with their love of Christ. The Bible message is soundly taught and after all, we do not attend for entertainment but for the purpose of worship..

Hi Diana077, Thank you for your support, and we’re delighted to hear that your experience of Grace has been a welcoming one that has encouraged spiritual growth. We hope someday this will be true for everyone who walks through our doors, but for now, we know this isn’t the case. The Graceless in Calgary review, though from a long time ago, is a reminder that there is still room for improvement, and not everyone who comes through our doors feels welcome. We’re working on it and hearing the experiences of those who come through our doors – positive and negative – help us to understand both our strengths and weaknesses and allows us to grow too. We’re grateful for all stories shared. Thank you for sharing yours.

I attended for a year when Jack Stewart was their minister--the finest preacher I have ever heard, and this church needed him, because never had I experienced a church with so many members so desperately in need of redemption.

We worked hard to participate, fit in and belong. We refused to be put off by the cold shoulder offered by so many, but in the end, it was their many overt acts of hostility that made us cry uncle.

If you are rich, arrogant and narcissistic, and make no secret of it, you will be right at home at the most ironically named "Grace" church.

Hello Brenton, We recognise that this response coming more than two years after your original review could be perceived as doing little more than reinforcing your experience of a cold shoulder. We hope it does more than that, but the risk is overruled by our desire to say we’re sorry. You should have been welcomed and made to feel like you belonged. We’re sorry that you weren’t. It is some years later, and we want to say, "come try again, we’ve been working on our welcome." And while that is certainly true, it is also true that we still sometimes get this wrong. We still can and do fall short of the welcome we aspire to give. But we’ll keep trying, and if you choose to take another chance on us, we hope your experience is better. Thank you for sharing your story.

Welcoming atmosphere and great people. Three ministers share the preaching so on any given Sunday you will hear challenging sermons from different perspectives. Engaging Sunday School programs. Excellent music and hymns, both traditional and current, with pipe organ and/or piano. Beautiful 100 year-old sanctuary. Always a time for fellowship after worship. Services every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., and 1st and 3rd Sundays at 7:00 p.m.

Awesome pipe organ! Traditional hymns. Easily slip in and out without being spoken to - if that is what you prefer. Pretty traditional services - well done but content will not ruffle too many feathers....

Acoustics are great. Old school beauty with curved pews and a phenomenal organ.
