This is a great place for walking, skating, cross country skiing, cycling, boating, barbecues or watching the kids have fun at the playground. If you're looking for a place to spend some time during any season, this park is situated right next to the Bow River with tasty eateries nearby.

Had an amazing walk along the river and up the river bank. Really scared too many people will discover how much fun it is and it will get over crowded.

Ideally located, this park is great for walking, skating, rafting and picnicking. It is populated w/ mature trees and offers many outdoor opportunities. Take your dogs and children and enjoy the day!

Some parks are dead during the winter, but Bowness Park is very much alive at this time of year. The lagoon has always been the centre piece of the park, and City crews meticulously make a wonderful skating rink from it once it's cold enough. And the ice has been staying perfectly, even though we've in a bit of heat... More

Once a year we plan a get together of the small group of people I use to work with. Pot luck picnic, and good conversation. Lovely paths to walk after eating too much.

If you are looking for a quick escape without leaving the city of Calgary, try a visit to Bowness Park. It is truly an enjoyable escape in the city. It is a lovely place to go for a walk or run; enjoy a picnic with the family; try your hand at plein-air art; or simply breathe, and relax.

Good location to spend time with family, friends and colleagues. Kids enjoy the green spaces to play as well.
