We went for the first time in years. It was a very nice walk. It was nice a quiet and even had some deer walk on the pathway in front of us. We will be coming again.

Great vision Calgary to preserve such a nice and peaceful environment next to the downtown core. Surprising to see so much bird life in the middle of the winter.

An area kept much in its natural state, where you can see ducks and all kinds of birds, see the work of beavers, stroll in nature, and all this can be done without being surrounded constantly by people. Delightful.

This has to be the highlight of my trip to Calgary. So satisfying that I made a 5.9km walk all the way back a second time. The sanctuary provides a peek into several mini ecosystems - North American Woods, water bodies, etc. For the patient...More

We were here in July, in the morning, and I was so impressed. The worries and pressures of everyday life vanish, once inside this sanctuary. The parking is plentiful, and washrooms are modern and clean inside the visitor centre upon entry. A walk here is...More

Among bird species we did catch sight of 5 deer grazing along the pretty river. Pathways were well marked. Nature was nice. It is very necessary to bring binoculars if you want to see the birds. But admission was free and overall it was a...More
