At first, I was a not sure whether to go on the tour or not due to the adverse weather condition but decided to do it at the end. The experience was incredibly amazing. Size of the transpotter, phew, wow. On the other hand, the driver/commentator, Sandra, a very young, petit girl operating that huge mass of a bus. Very... More

Stopped at the Columbia Icefields on the way from Banff to Jasper. It is worth a stop especially if you haven't seen a glacier before. Tour is a little pricey.

Well this is one of those things that I rec you do mostly because it is unique. The trip consists of a stop at the large building where there are several choices of food places, souvenirs and plenty of outside decks to view the glacier and area. Then you load into the enormous ice cat vehicles (not something you see... More

It's really really beautiful. If you are travelling by car, park your car and then you have to walk some distance to get there. Gets cold and windy as you walk. So better put on jackets and caps when you start walking. Wind chill is killing. I loved it. But sad that the glacier has melted so much over the... More

we went up by those big vehicles with very huge tyres. We even collected the glacier water into mineral water bottles. Is very refreshing.....but very very cold if your hand immersed into the glacier water. Will become numb hahahha but it was really nice up there. Do be careful as it is slippery!

terrific little dip into glacier life.. saddening to think that they are retreating and one of the reasons they are in retreat is because we continue in our perilous journey to destruction via the use of the internal combustion engine and various other carbon emitting pollutants (including cows which we husband for food) Pretty weird being up there with all... Visited last summer and it was the part of the Brewster tour. We were taken to the edge by coach, information about the formation and background is also provided by the coach. Pack some warm clothes as temperature is always cold. Skywalk visit was also included in the package and it was amazing too.

Our adventure started at Lake Louise Inn where we stayed for 3 days in amazing Deluxe Two-Bedroom Suite. Good location, easy access to various activities around Lake Louise and the "Glacier Adventure Bus" stop right there at the hotel. The way from Lake Louise to Columbia Icefield was along the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93), excellent quality road with jaw-dropping scenery... More

As we were driving from Lake Louise, there's just too much to see and do on the way so we didn't pre-purchase tickets - luckily as we arrived a couple hours later than planned. Omg, the line up for tickets was huge but more so was that the line moved sooo slowly. Either way, we weren't going to miss the... More
