Very easy hike with good views at the summit (not spectacular). Very busy during October when we visited. I would do Eideth Cavel or Sulphur Skyline before this.

If you like to hike and do not mind hiking a few hours up to get to your destination, this is a hike you should not miss! This is one of our favorite hikes near Jasper. The views of Maligne Lake on a clear day are amazing and the mountain scenery is spectacular! Do not miss this!

This hike has one of the best views of Maligne Lake. It's a climb to the top however well worth it. The trail is easily accessible and makes for a good day hike.

If you want a good workout then take the shortcut up to the top instead of staying on the fire road. Once at the top keep climbing until you reach multiple different summits. Beautiful view and a really rewarding hike. Saw a black bear right at the beginning of the hike which was a great way to start off our... More

There are pretty hiking trails here around the lake and a restaurant coffee shop area. The lake is beautiful and surrounded by mountains and greenery. There are a few forested areas in the vicinity which were destroyed by fires last year. We saw an eagles nest just by the lake and many deer.

This trail goes along a fire road with unspectacular views for about 45 minutes until you have a choice of continuing on the fire road or turning left onto a steep side trail. Take the side trail and be sure to look behind you for terrific views of Maligne Lake and the mountains on the way up. At the summit... More

This is a great little hike for an amazing reward. Your reward being a stunning view of maligne lake and the surronding peaks. You are slightly elevated so the vantage point can grant you some pretty spectacular pictures.

Whilst it was a beautiful drive to Maligne Lake, there is nothing much to do in winter once you arrive. The Lake was frozen over and nothing is open.

Definitely a great walk when up for something longer. Took us (not trained) 5-6 hrs, with the way up making up for most of the time. Tipp: when the way splits in 2 options, take the walk going the steeper but shorter way - simply as you already get to see amazing views! On the other one you just walk... More
