Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I enjoy visiting wineries. Most of the time I leave pleased. Not so this time.
My first issue was the hand sanitizer offered to guests. It was heavily scented and totally spoiled the tasting as I could not smell any bouquet other than perfume. I suggested they get a scent free one. I am surprised they have not been challenged on this before.
My second issue was the tasting and fee. I may have been spoiled in Naramata recently, but three tastes (albeit decent pours) for $10 seems expensive. Add to that, the fact that they only eliminate a tasting fee for the purchase of three bottles (nine in our case since there were three of us). In Naramata, at three wineries our fees were waved with smaller purchases.
My wife and daughter only liked one of the whites and I could not really appreciate my tasting because of the hand sanitizer scent. We did by three bottles but based on my prior knowledge of what we liked.
We are not very likely to return.

No view at this small winery but the great reds which are uncommon this far north more than make up for that. Add the friendly service and ability to bring your own picnic make this a must to visit.

This is a very accessible winery - close to town and wonderful staff. The wine itself - amazing! And the family that runs it are beautiful people.

We had a great time tasting here at Sperling. The staff was super nice and there are a lot of different great wines here. Definitely recommend checking it out! The riesling and the chardonnay was unreal.

Quaint little vineyard and tasting room. Could have used clearer signage for the entrance. Be advised, they do not open the Brut bottles during the week (slightly disappointing as that's what we came for). Professional tasting, friendly staff but lacking in descriptions. Side Note: our host poured us water into our wine glasses between switching from white to red without advising to pour it into the spill bucket. We felt a little silly for drinking it ;)

Had a lovely tasting experience and thought the staff was so helpful. It's worth a visit! Their Riesling and ice wine were my favourites but they have a lovely selection. Small vineyard but first class experience.

Not being wine experts, but looking to purchase a bottle of red wine for a special lady, who was very good friends with my mother we stopped at the Sperling Vineyard wine shop, The young lady who was the hostess, was very gracious in allowing us to taste each wine, and explaining the differences in the grapes and fermentation process. It enhanced the experience when we presented the wine to our friend, and were able to provide a little background information. Very enjoyable and interesting!

Very friendly staff that made us feel welcome. Smaller winery but one of the oldest. Decent wine average price with tasting fee waived after bottle purchase.
