Painted Rock offers exceptional wines for a world audience.Envisioned as a family-run estate winery, Painted Rock draws its inspiration from proprietor's John and Trish Skinner. The Skinner's philosophy is rooted in the simple idea that wine should be made for friends and family to enjoy. With a dedication to quality and a respect for the terroir, Painted Rock ensures that each grape is of superior quality, proving that the best wines are made in the vineyard.Painted Rock's latest addition is the spectacular new tasting room, wedding and events facility which overlooks the estate vineyards and Skaha Lake and provides the perfect setting for any event.Painted Rock offers a patio lounge and a grassed picnic area to sit and enjoy the views and a glass of Painted Rock wine.

Painted Rock Estate Winery has a superb view of the valley below, hills to the east and the vineyards to the southwest. Their modern wine tasting presentation area has clean, light lines and windows everywhere that slide open during the summer bringing nature in. Bring a picnic, buy a bottle of their smoky, rose wine at the tasting bar and sit... More

We had been told about this winery by several people who raved about it and insisting we check it out. The property is stunning. Beautiful grounds and the building is sleek and modern. I found the staff on the pretentious side and their welcoming cold and snobbish. The wine we were able to sample was good but didn't blow my... More

Despite arriving alone I felt very welcome. The staff made a half charcuterie plate fur me and welcomed me to just relax in the space while I had a glass of wine. It was a lovely space. I specifically had chosen this winery because the images online showed a lounge area to spend time in. I was not disappointed. Oh... More

Painted Rock has done things up well indeed. Their wines are and always have been stellar - the views and hospitality at the Tasting Room are definitely stellar as well!

Far from the trailer of yesteryear, Painted Rock's current facility is spacious, bright and elegant; the staff are friendly. The wines are not inexpensive, but for those who have the luxury of being able to cellar the reds for a few years, they are worth the investment. We've been buying them since the 2007 vintage, and have rated them highly.... More

Expected more, beautiful scenery but seemed like the whole visit turned into a perspective investors meeting and they were looking at us for capitol for next year. Wines were OK, had much more fun at the Waterside Winery in Enderby.

This was on our second day of wine touring and felt like we were passing through the gates of Jurassic Park when we entered! Big signs warning of the electrified fence and then an extremely modern stark building for the wine tasting. Very white and minimalist. Other wineries had a warm feeling to them and lots of wine - this... More

First impressions: Clean modern lines against a backdrop of ancient stained stone hills... . The architecture is unique... and so are the wines... . Stephanie is a stellar advocate of the winery’s excellent reds... and with a background including working in one of Margaret River’s earliest (1966) iconic wineries (Cullens, West Australia), she is well-placed extolling the virtues of Painted...
