Excellent services

The lake is quite cold for swimming but if you have a bold constitution you should be ok. The Provinical park has great services along with flush toilets and firepits. Love it.

We searched the web for campsites that were dog friendly. The first time we went off-season with our 1 year old dog and motorhome. Loved the sites, great dog beach (our dog learned to swim at Purden Lake) and good walking trails. We attempted to get back into park during higher season and were sadly disappointed. Web access kept timing... More

What a great combination. This park has it all. regular day beach as well as a day beach for you and your dog. I go here every year and they also allow online booking.

One of the nicest lakes with a good-sized beach near Prince George. Can enjoy boating, swimming and camping .

Purden lake is a short 45 minute drive east of Prince George. The lake is beautiful and clear and is a destination for many of the city residents. There is available camping and a day beach. There is also a dog beach for your furry friend. It also boasts a covered area for picnicking and for a BBQ. The lake... More

Purden Lake is a gorgeous lake 45 minutes from Prince George. There's a sandy beach as well as a grassy area with lake front picnic tables. The lake is clean and has mountain views and it also has a campsite nestled in the forest.

This is a great place to camp. Sites are heavily treed so privacy is excellent. Rating would be excellent if it had shower houses, but the lake is great for swimming - a bit on the cool side, but clean. This campground tends to be full before 1pm on Friday's so going out early on those great weekends is a... More

This campsite is very popular, especially since it is just a short drive from Prince George! Clean and beautiful, with wildlife all around! and majestic mountains nearby. I totally recommend staying here to relax, soak up some sun or try your luck catching a dinner of trout!

To be fair almost all of BC’s provincial parks are excellent. This one is certainly one of the best and a must visit if you’re in the area. The beach is big and sandy although a bit of a walk from the camp sites. The camp sites are large and mostly private. The bathrooms are flush toilets and perhaps the... More
