RED Mountain is the last great, unspoiled resort. Located in Rossland, BC, along the famous "Powder Highway," RED delivers 4,200 acres of pristine skiing unfettered by overdevelopment. For 2013-14, we've added nearly 1,000 acres of mostly-intermediate terrain on Grey Mountain - an entirely new peak. (Well, OK, Grey's been there for millions of years, but without runs or lifts on it.) With 300"/7.6m of annual snowfall, wide-open groomers, epic vertical (2,919ft/890m!), in-bounds cat-skiing, 360 degree descents off select peaks, a rich tradition, and - phew! - the BEST tree runs in BC, it's no wonder The NY Times voted us their #8 "Best Place in the World to Visit in 2013." Other accolades include #1 in Powder's "Ski Town Throwdown," and "Most Underrated Resort" by Skiing. Around here, we pride ourselves on fresh turns that you don't have to fight for... Aside from the legendary skiing and snowboarding, RED boasts world-class cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, movie nights and après action in Rafters, "North America's Best Ski Area Bar" according to Powder Magazine (and us...). Modern ski in/out lodging, fine dining, a professional ski school, guiding, high-performance rentals, daycare that's just steps away from gourmet espresso, and a free shuttle to Rossland round out our offering. With Rossland's turn-of-the-century charm and our legendarily friendly locals, RED Mountain Resort is the full vacation package: Everything you need. Nothing you don't. (The only fluff we offer is our snow!)

Red is an awesome hill because there are no such thing as lift lines. They have a lot of variety of terrain for all levels and this little town shows you a good time every time you visit. Just wish it had more restaurants and coffee bars passed dinner time....

Red Mountain in Rossland ,British Columbia bills itself as the first stop on the famed BC Powder Highway. They could make the case that they are also one of the best. The resort is set up on 3 peaks and snowcat access on a 4th. Most of the skiing take place off Granite Peak (which skis 360 degrees) and Grey... More

First visit to Red Mountain and although it was definitely spring conditions, it was easy to see the potential this resort would have after a big dump of snow. Will definitely be back next season!

Great resort tons of great terrain. Customer service at the resort was good. The only bad thing I can say about the resort is that all the lifts are dated fixed grip chairs. Never a lift line the week in February we were there. All the north facing snow stayed great following the previous storm. The south facing snow started... More

As others have noted this is a hard core mountain not intended for beginners or intermediate skiers. There are blues and greens, but the sweet spot for red is advanced/expert runs. Some of the blues, would be easy blacks at other mountains. Some of the blacks would be double diamonds at most resorts. Those advanced/expert runs are amazing. Steep, deep... More

The area has expanded in recent years but there is limited green runs. The conditions included a lot of fog hanging over half the mountain. Runs were groomed in areas but some of the runs are not marked as well or appearing on the map. When the sun was out and clear over the full mountain, it was beautiful with... More

Awesome Mountain to explore, no lines, better snow than Tahoe, cheaper tickets, and friends who invited us to come check it out. We even threw in a hockey game. Our saying for the few days of no people skiing, was "WOW, it is so crowded" then we would laugh. I was salivating on what it must be like to ski... More

True skiers will love Red!! Its just oozes with history of alpine racing and powder chasing. If you charge its a must. Really though its got a tone of terrain for all levels.
