RED Mountain is the last great, unspoiled resort. Located in Rossland, BC, along the famous "Powder Highway," RED delivers 4,200 acres of pristine skiing unfettered by overdevelopment. For 2013-14, we've added nearly 1,000 acres of mostly-intermediate terrain on Grey Mountain - an entirely new peak. (Well, OK, Grey's been there for millions of years, but without runs or lifts on it.) With 300"/7.6m of annual snowfall, wide-open groomers, epic vertical (2,919ft/890m!), in-bounds cat-skiing, 360 degree descents off select peaks, a rich tradition, and - phew! - the BEST tree runs in BC, it's no wonder The NY Times voted us their #8 "Best Place in the World to Visit in 2013." Other accolades include #1 in Powder's "Ski Town Throwdown," and "Most Underrated Resort" by Skiing. Around here, we pride ourselves on fresh turns that you don't have to fight for... Aside from the legendary skiing and snowboarding, RED boasts world-class cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, movie nights and après action in Rafters, "North America's Best Ski Area Bar" according to Powder Magazine (and us...). Modern ski in/out lodging, fine dining, a professional ski school, guiding, high-performance rentals, daycare that's just steps away from gourmet espresso, and a free shuttle to Rossland round out our offering. With Rossland's turn-of-the-century charm and our legendarily friendly locals, RED Mountain Resort is the full vacation package: Everything you need. Nothing you don't. (The only fluff we offer is our snow!)

Get here the next opportunity you get and when you enjoy it, remember why. It wasn't the $20 cheeseburger, heated gondolas with top 40 music, or ski valets. I guarantee you. It was the heap of vertical, feet of fresh snow (fingers crossed, 73cm the week I was there), and passionate locals that treat you like a person and not... More

I got to the mountain after a few days of snow storms. Even being a few days behind the real pow-pow, it's easy to find pockets of yummy. If you haven't been, there is little beginner terrain. The hill is better suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. They have added some lodging at the base, making for some nice ski-in-ski-out... More

Spent 2 days skiing Red Mountain. First time here and the staff is friendly and helpful. The Mountain is huge and offers the best tree skiing in BC. You get 3 mountains and each one has its own terrain. The chairs are slow and antiquated and with no foot rests it can start to hurt the feet and legs by... More

three mountains that you can ski, all with 360 degree around skiing. the terrains are great for me who learn powder skiing as well as mogul skiing. i do not mind not having diverse winter activities in this resort such as skating or tubing, only skiing and its apres. you can rent flat skies too. you can at some particular... We have not been on a family vacation for a long time. The price at Red was so affordable and the amenities while there were outstanding. If you are looking for plenty of amazing skiing or boarding, you MUST go to Red.

This mountain has the most accessible in bounds terrain I have come across Being able to ski 360 degrees of the mountain is great and reduces the amount of traversing. Earlier in the season there is still a lot of rocks and ice so be careful of scratching the skis. The amount of cliffs and steep runs are amazing. Also... More

Came here for a couple of days while on vacay in Nelson. Took about 45-60 minutes. Depending on road conditions. It's a bit of a crazy drive but so worth it. Absolutely stunning area. The resort was friendly and had no line ups! The snow was nice and fluffy. The runs were challenging. Easy to get around from lift to... More

Had such a great time skiing at Red. A huge Mountain with lots of varied terrain and tree skiing and basically no lift lines to speak of! Very close to Rossland so an easy 10 minute drive up from town. We really appreciated the free Ski Host program and had an awesome tour of the mountain with Wayne, basically a... More
