Eagle Aerie Gallery is Roy Henry Vickers' artist-owned gallery located in Tofino, British Columbia. This stunning traditional Northwest Coast longhouse with a carved and painted cedar plank exterior and doors of beaten copper, is a recognizable Tofino landmark. Inside discover Roy's artwork of paintings, original prints, calendars, art cards, and reproductions hanging on hand adzed cedar walls among totem poles and carvings. As you enter the large main hall, you'll notice the soft lighting and restful music that creates an atmosphere of harmony and peace. The gallery is open free to the public seven days a week throughout the year.

Built in 1986 with the help of Roy's family and legendary carver Henry Nolla, this gallery welcomes more than 500,000 visitors a year from all around the world. Please check the events calendar page to see when Roy is scheduled to be storytelling at Eagle Aerie Gallery - this is a not to be missed attraction! Guests gather around the centre pit in the main hall to listen to stories of Roy's life and times as well as inspiration of his work. Afterwards Roy is available to meet guests and autograph his reproductions.

Wonderful Gallery!

This is a great place to spend some time. The art is wonderful and very interesting if you take the time to read how the artist came to paint such beautiful pictures.

Has a large main room with walls covered with paintings. And a second smaller back room with prints for sale. The selection is awesome and whether you buy originals or prints make sure to bring your check book because you will have a hard time leaving with out something!

Eagle Aerie Gallery, featuring Roy Henry Vickers, is a Spiritual Journey that must be experienced; a beautiful landmark in Tofino and a magical place inside. Wander in and appreciate the art for what it is, regardless of the price, but there are many limited-edition prints that are within the comfort level of most folks. My prized possession is an autographed... More

Delightful presentation of an extremely talented aboriginal artist in a beautiful building appropriate for housing his beautiful art with its spiritual connection with the land. Had we had more space in our luggage, we would have come home with much more art than we did.

Thank you for your time and response to the gallery. The day before we opened the gallery back in April of 1996 my Mother and I sat and listened to the Hallelujah chorus and the gallery has felt like a heavenly place since March 31, 1996. Happy trails to you. More

This gallery is build in the style of coast Salish Peoples with whole trees used in supporting the roof. It is a classic example of native building style and is itself a piece of art. The gallery itself is a beautiful piece of architecture based on west coast longhouse style. The art of Roy Henry Vickers is amazing. His use of colors is brilliant. It's worth the visit even if you are not a big art fan.

Thank you for your review, it is appreciated. I remember the day before the opening of this gallery back in '86, my Mother and I sat and listened to, the Hallelujah chorus from Handels Messiah on the stereo system, we had tears of joy, that spirit has never left the gallery. More
