Considered by many to be one of the best boardwalk hikes around, you will be immersed in the natural serenity of the temperate rainforest. You can take the easy stairs to the beach, where you can gaze at the gentle waves crashing in. During low tide, an inviting passage presents itself so you can make your way to a small island where you may find bald eagles soaring above. Schooners Cove is nothing less than invigorating and rejuvinating. Truly a picturesque adventure.

This was another great short trail bringing us through the forests to the beaches - it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We live to get close to the trees. And these are Trees!

Of all the short walks to the beach that are available off of the highway in the pacific rim park, this walk is the most satisfying. A must do for sure.

I highly recommend this hop, skip and jump through the forest to this cove. Most of the walk is made easy on a constructed "board walk"...no need to worry about losing your footing in the forest. They could not have made it easier. There are...More

To get down to the beach of Schooner's Cove, there is a 1.1km walk through the rainforest on a lovely boardwalk. To really experience this beach, you must go during low tide. Otherwise, it can be challenging to access. The best part of the beach...More

We took that hike while on the visit to Tofino. Lovely hike through rainforest takes you to secluded beach, a slice of paradise. Sandy beach with some rocks to climb on the side. We all loved it!

Took a guided walk with a NP warden.Lots to see on the walk through first growth forest along the boardwalk with a magnificent beach of golden sand at the end. Well worth the effort

Trek for about a kilometre across boardwalks, up and down stairs, through an amazing rainforest and you will be rewarded with Schooner Cove. A massive expanse of sandy beach with its own accessible (at low tide) island.

Great views of osprey, vulture and bald eagle, lovely quiet beach with a great walk in. Sea too cold even for us north sea lovers, but a paddle was good and the views great down Long Beach and to the mountains.

The boardwalk is very well done through this lovely shady forest. There are some steps, and the path is narrow, so you have to watch your footing, especially when people come the other way. After a short 1km or so you arrive at Long Beach...More
