North America's third-largest park draws eight million visitors per year, many of whom may skate or walk past you on the Seawall, a scenic, 5.5-mile path running along the water on the park's perimeter. It's just one of many trails among the park's 1,000 acres, which also house an aquarium, nature center and other recreational facilities.

We`ve stayed in Vancouver for a few days and chose to visit Stanley Park. What an amazing place! You can easily spend the full day there and would never be disappointed! There are lots of people ( biking, walking, running) however you would not feel it is crowded. There are lots of space for everyone, make sure to walk along... More

A wonderful place. My wife and I walked to Stanley Park from our hotel and meant to take 2 days to walk the sea wall path. However we enjoyed the walk so much that we covered the whole distance in one go. There are so many places of interest along the way including a very nice lunch at Teahouse. We... More

Great open spaces, super for cycling/walking and the totem poles where excellent, with enough history to get you involved, but not so much yo get fed up. We were luck the day we went the weather was excellent. We were on an organised trip so it was a brief tour, but you could easily get their by public transport from... More

They say that there are two seasons in Vancouver: the rainy season and the 8th August. That is an exaggeration: it actually rains a lot, but that is what makes the city special and so green. Stanley park is a good example, it looks like someone waters the plants carefully and constantly.

Loved walking around the area, but could use more vendors though as we were limited by what was available.

Stanley Park is a nice place to spend a couple of hours. There is a bike ride around the whole island, and places to stop. The aquarium and totem poles seemed very cheesy and is very crowded. I would NOT bike around the island if you have small or reckless children. While biking, one side is a busy road, the... More

It's a very large park and it has absolutely stunning views of Vancouver. This means that it is also chock-full of tourists. I rented a bike and went around the park, and I have to say that people are really in a hurry to see the park and some are not very considerate of people biking leisurely. I got kicked... More

Stanley Park is surprisingly large and diverse. From playgrounds to beaches and even eateries, this park must be the recreational hub Vancouver. The path adjacent to the seawall provides a very long walking path and there is a scenic parallel road. Really great breathing space for Vancouver's population.

One of our best days in Vancouver was the day we hired a bike and rode around Stanley Park. We have two boys (7 & 9) and the park is the perfect size to ride around and explore. There are totem poles, a park, and spectacular views of the harbour and bridge along the way. The whole ride only takes... More

Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views, beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical getaway spot for friends and families, especially as it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its best equestrian outlets.
