Lots of history here. Cobblestone streets, statue of Gassy Jack and steam driven clock. Lots of shops from boutiques to tourists shops.

I toured around Gastown 3 or 4 times at night because I was staying very close to this area of town. I saw the steam clock and ate at several local restraunts in the area. Very cool area to do sight seeing.

It was great to see The Steam Clock and the statue of Gassy Jack. There are some good eating and drinking places. There's small shops and unfortunately yet again to many Canadian Gift shops.

Fun area to visit and shop in. Lot's of history and quaint buildings. Wear good walking shoes and keep an umbrella handy

Gastown a place of lots of restaurant n the famous steam clock , one of the highlight in vancouver...The streets are arranged with bouquet of flowers and a must try restaurant in old spaghetti factory..

Gastown is in the city centre of Vancouver, close to the congress centre and to many restaurants and shops. In case of big events it's plenty of policemen and people are hanging around till late. Forse sure it's a safe area... More
