Visited the aquarium on a blustery October day. The location in the middle of Stanley Park is really nice and really easy to get to. The aquarium was busy but I had pre bought my ticket so could use the fast track queue. There is a lot to see here and I would definitely recommend a few hours. Even in... More

Normally I wouldn't choose to visit a facility such as this, but I found much to change my opinion. I was impressed with the conservation work being done here. The staff really care for their charges and I found them knowledgeable about their work. The children in particular were enthralled with the animals and fish especially with the Rays in... More

We enjoyed our morning there. The taxi driver questioned why a 2 middle age couple would want to go to an aquarium and so we were a bit concerned that we would be disappointed. We keep fish so we decided to give it a try. It is a very good attraction but if you are Australian and are familiar with... More

This is the best aquarium I have been to. All the animals were amazing and looked well cared for. Especially loved the jellyfish and otters. Have recommended it to everyone I know when they visit Vancouver. They also let us use a international student card as a discount.

Pretty small. Not a must see attraction in Vancouver anddefinetly doesn't compare with Monterey Bay. Pricey for adults especially when comparing with other attaction in Vancouver

We visited Vancouver Aquarium on Christmas Day after a nice stroll at the picturesque Stanley Park. Most attractions were closed on Christmas and we were pleased to find the Aquarium open and ready for visitors. Honestly we might have been a bit spoiled and didn't find the Vancouver Aquarium to be all that grand or impressive, compare to the aquariums... More

This aquarium is great, it has lots of animals, a great variety of species, you can tell the people involved in the health and wellbeing of the animals are really passionate about what they do. Animals look healthy. Would recommend for everyone visiting Vancouver, I thought my money was worth it. What happened to the belugas is a shame but... More

Staying in Stanley Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views, beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical getaway spot for friends and families, especially as it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its best equestrian outlets.
