Yaletown is Vancouver’s trendy and upscale renovated warehouse district. This fresh urban neighbourhood is just an easy walk from the centre of downtown Vancouver or a quick ferry ride from Granville Island. Yaletown’s converted heritage buildings are home to some of city’s top fashion and design shops, as well as cutting edge restaurants and bars. Old loading docks act as giant sidewalks and create a unique setting for wandering, shopping, or lounging at one of the many outdoor patios.

Yaletown offers so many places to eat and some of the most interesting local shops and boutiques. Yuppie town feel and close to all other attractions of Vancouver. I would definitely visit again when I come through Vancouver.

High style, very hip neighborhood. Trendsetting bars and restaurants, the yuppie place to be. Upscale shopping.

The area is really great - lots of restaurants and bars. Quite trendy but suitable for everyone. Perfect during the summer as there are patios everywhere to get some sunshine and soak up the atmosphere.

This area is for a twenty/thirty something crowd. Lots of restaurants and bars. Not much for shopping. The restaurants and bars are about 4 feet above the street so when dining outdoors, you don't have people looking right at you. Lots of food choices.

Modern area of Vancouver with lots of shopping areas, high rise flats, cafes etc. One of the more exclusive/ posh areas.

we took a walk around Yaletown and felt very out of place. I was wearing Lulu pants or walking a miniature dog as most people are. This place has an uppity feel to it. Lots of great restaurants and trendy place to go buy a...More

Love Yaletown. The dining options are plentiful, the streets are so clean and walk-able. The people are friendly, and the atmosphere is chill. This is true west coast. Sitting on the patio, enjoying a burger and a drink watching people walk by that seem to...More

From downtown Vancouver we took the sky train from the Waterfront. A couple of stops later, we were in Yaletown. Compared to Gastown, the restaurants here are a little more expensive. There were several nice restaurants and bars lined up along the streets. We walked...More
