Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am amazed this is #17 on things to do in Vancouver because this beach/area is beyond fabulous! This is one of the top things we like to do when visiting Vancouver. Going during nice weather is best would go anytime of year. Parking is a complete nightmare, however, so take public transit if at all possible or an Uber. Great restaurants in the area. Go for a nice, scenic walk then enjoy a nice meal overlooking the water. You won't regret it.

Nice walk from hotel on Davie. The best sunset I have seen in years. Lots of people watching, good vibe. Wonderful sculpture art. Highly recommend.

Whether you got here from Second Beach in the west, Lost Lagoon to the northwest, or through the west end neighbourhood, you'll find this a great place to stop, snack, or just catch your breath and marvel at the ocean. From food trucks to fine dining, the choice is yours.

This is an excellent place to cycle and enjoy before going into Stanley Park. The statues are really cool and amazing views! It’s an easy walkway to follow also which is quite flat!

Beautiful beach downtown with amazing view. Didn’t rate it 5 stars as it was very crowded and there was too much litter everywhere.

While not wanting to see Vancouver any busier than it already is, I have to say that no trip here is complete without a walk along English Bay. Touch the Pacific, people watch, count the freighters, sit on a log with an ice cream - it's fantastic in a mellow, westy coasty kinda way.

I stopped here at night and it was beautiful. It was a rainy night but I’m sure it’s even more beautiful under a clear sky. It’s very convenient and accessible too

Felt good to be out walking along the waterfront and stretching the legs as spent alot of time on a coach recently. Nice to people watch and see the locals at play - enjoying life, exercising and even practicing ice hockey. A really lovely stretch of flat pavement with great views back to the city and out to sea. Wait to see the great sunsets - nice photographic material.
