I have loved going to this beach since I was a child. It is clean, has toilets near by, close to a great restaurant, has tennis courts and you can walk your dog along the parkside.

Even though our visit to this beach was in mid-October, and there wasn’t much going on, it was a relaxing walk with lots of great scenery. Located right on the Pacific Ocean in the west side of Vancouver, to the west of Vanier Park, this beach was worth the walk. The ocean views are stunning, and we never tired of... More

Beautiful large beach area directly on the Pacific ocean in kitsilano, Vancouver. 10 minutes from downtown. Lovely paved seawall walkway for bikes or pedestrians. Closeby is a pet friendly, off leash beach. Plenty to see and enjoy here. Volleyball nets are up in the summer months, truck food vendors, and the boathouse restaurant. Best beach area in Vancouverj

Although summer time is beach time any day that isn't raining too hard is a great day for a walk around Kits beach. The walk from Vanier Park and beyond the beach is so nice. At this time of year with the change of colours happening it is stunning against a vibrant blue sky. There is something soul soothing about... More

All summer months as well as sunny days in the off season are worth a visit to Kitselano Beach or a walk a long the beach front. There are walkers, hikers, strollers, volley-ballers, tight-rope dancers, Frisbee throwers and plain people watching. There is also the view on the Vancouver inlet with boats of all dimensions, with or without sails including... More

This beachside area has great scenic walks, with great views of the huge harbor and the mountains of North Vancouver. Also great for scenic bike rides.

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
