Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The facility is very nice and the acoustics can be very good depending on the sound engineer. I'm a big rock fan and have seen a number of shows there. Slash and Myles Kennedy put on a fantastic show, one of the best I've seen in many years. The sound was loud, but very clear and professionally mixed. In contrast, Soundgarden (which is one of my favourite bands) sounded absolutely horrible. The volume was off the chart and was so distorted it was sometimes difficult to discern what song they were performing (and I know their entire catalogue). Not sure what the problem was, but I'm guessing whoever their sound engineer was they were either in a drunken stupor or just couldn't care less what the band sounded like.

Great theatre to see a concert. Saw the Kansas 50th anniversary concert here. Great acoustics, comfortable seats, great view of the stage and great light show. Theatre is easy to enter and easy to find your seats. This is an intimate setting where you can watch a great show and not feel like you are miles away from the action.

We went to see Shen Yun. It looks small. The seats remind me of an airplane. We are not very tall people but someone taller wouldhave a hard time sitting a couple of hours in the theatre. It is OK, but it doesn't give me a sense of being in a great theatre.

We had excellent seats in row thirteen on a January Saturday night. I doubt there is a bad seat in the entire Theatre? Crowd entrance and exit seems relatively quick and efficient. I would be happy to return for another performance.

We went to see Mama Mia and Sat Aug 13th. First thing we noticed the new look of the theatre. (was OK), but when we got to the seating (they are so horrible thety are so unconfortable), they also made the aisle a stairway With out glow in dark saftey tape so it made the aisle scarey to manover in the dark. The sound was so horrible it hurt to listen to the show. (I felt sick to my stomack and my eyes watters for the sound was so load. My ears hurt for 3 days after the show.) (we guessed that the person who sound checked the show was deaf or partailly deaf. I personally would not go to this ventue again to go a show.)

We went and saw the Disney's Lion Kion. Great show. 12 parking rate to park under the theatre. I've always found other parking in the area for much more

We traveled to Vancouver to see the phenomenal production of "Come From Away". For me, the performance was MOSTLY fantastic, but we were toward the back of the main floor, on the right side. I probably understand three quarters of the dialogue. My partner, who has hearing aids, and a stranger on the other side of me, who also had them, spent the entire evening trying to adjust their hearing aids so they could hear properly - all in vain The Queen E is a wonderful venue, but for those with hearing difficulties, it is awful. If the Queen E were to install an Auris Hearing Loop, they would create an impeccable experience for those whose hearing is no longer so sharp. My partner has been in venues WITH a hearing loop and has come away feeling 100% engaged. Without that, he and the stranger next to me, had a mediocre experience. They missed much of the dialogue. This is NOT a hugely expensive fix so, please, Queen E, look out at your largely older audience and give some consideration to making their experience excellent instead of poor. The production was superb, but the sound, for those of us on the margins, was NOT.

The performance was exceptional. this 2 1/2 hour opera was lavishly staged, beautifully sung and the performances by the troop was flawless. the long duration complete with two intermissions flew by. I am a tall large man, 6'1" TALL and over 200 lbs. the seats were built for people shorter than 6 feet tall and were frankly tortuous - by the time the show was over I could barely stand, I read on the reviews of this theater about how comfortable the seating is.. I beg to differ. the only people in the theatre who sat comfortably were slender women and children. Nearly every man I saw was uncomfortable. Many senior citizens had difficulty, as well.

I could not believe that a newly constructed theatre was not handicapped accessible unless one sat in a back row. There were steps and no handrails down to the orchestra, and I was not allowed to take my walker down to the front row, where I had bought my seat. When I complained, it was suggested that I could have chosen the back row.
In this day and age to have a new theatre that is not handicapped friendly is a crime!
The show was superb, but as I had flown there from Toronto to see this show, I was really upset by the venue.

I went and saw Phantom of the Opera over the weekend which was a wonderful show but the venue left me feeling down. We had seats in row 17, seat 17 and 18 which we thought would have been closer to the middle of the stage only to find out that they start numbering this row at seat 15 so we were at the far left. Not a big deal. I am 6 feet tall and all I could hear was the lady behind me complaining that she could not see through me. I experienced the same as an equally tall man sat in front of me eclipsing a large portion of the stage. Combined with the lack of leg room it made for an uncomfortable performance as these tickets were over $200 for the pair. The performance was great but I do not think that I will go and see a show at QE theatre again. The staff were all very friendly and work very hard to give you a memorable experience.
