We have been on lots of foodie tours and "Guilty Pleasures" lives up to its name! Our guide, Jenny, was informative, accommodating and fun. We began at the best dim sum restaurant, Kirin, where tasted 4 dim sum with sauces and tea while seated in the main dining room. Next step was what a first look was a grocery store... More

I am not usually a fan of tours but really enjoyed this one. I was lucky enough to be in a small group and it was fun to meet different nationalities. Lisa, our tour guide, managed to make each stop interesting by giving a short history of each place and putting everyone at ease. The tastings were varied and really... More

We chose the Granville Island food market tour, which was almost 100% indoors, very little walking between stops, and was a great microcosm of the Vancouver food scene. The selections were well-curated and our guide Lisa was energetic, interesting, and clearly passionate about food, Vancouver and the local history. She took interest in her guests and kept the tour moving... More

Thanks for sharing your 5-star experience with Lisa, Jen! The Granville Island Market Tour is especially wonderful during the Winter, as it's almost 100% indoors and there are amazing Christmas tastings + a vibrant holiday spirit at the Market! More

A little history, a lot of local food info and restaurant tips, and a fantastic sampling of tasty bites. Salami with truffles, masala chai, breads and cheese, coffee and maple syrup and doughnuts like warm fluffy pillows. Tour guide and chef Nadia left us knowing a lot more about the market and the Vancouver food scene. Put Granville Island on... More

You nailed it, Torah! Parking can be tricky on Granville Island, especially if you're hunting for a free 3-hour spot. We often recommend taking the Aquabus or False Creek Ferries from downtown, as they drop off right at the Granville Island Public Market! Thank you for your 5-star review! More

Had a girls weekend in Vancouver. Scheduled a food tour through Gastown. Our guide, Tracy was amazing. She took us to some of the best restaurants. The portions were perfect. During our walk, she gave us fun facts about the neighborhood making the entire experience very enjoyable and engaging.

We did both the Guilty Pleasures and Gastronomic Gas Town Tours! Great food, Nadia and Lisa was both awesome and the group dynamics good. We had a memorable and fun experience in spite of the steady down pour on second tour, it is a "must do" when in Vancouver!

We had Lisa as a tour guide and she gave a great background about the places we went as well as the preparation for what we were eating. Most of the food was yummy but we were a bit disappointed that some of the tastings were just tea, coffee, and an apple. We were expecting a bit more food than... More

Thanks for sharing your feedback on our Granville Island Market Tour, Matt! Here's a bit of insight on our tour design: Because the Public Market is filled with vendors that specialize in single items/categories, we've designed a series of 20+ tastings at 9 stops to give guests a true taste of the Market! You'll find larger tastings at each stop... More

We had Nadia lead us around Granville Island Market and had a wonderful time! Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
