The Fair at the PNE is the best part of summer! For the last two weeks of August through the Labour Day long weekend, The Fair features more than 50 rides and attractions, nightly concerts, live performances, agricultural and animal displays, games, and food. It's fun for all ages plus children 13 years and under are free with an adult admission.

The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) fairgrounds was established in 1910 to showcase British Columbia. The PNE operates on a 114-acre site at the City of Vancouver-owned Hastings Park and consists of Playland, the annual 15-day Fair at the PNE, and Fright Nights at Playland. The PNE also includes year-round rental facilities for concerts, conventions, trade shows and sporting events with the Pacific Coliseum the largest venue within Hastings Park. The Pacific Coliseum was proud to be the official venue for Short Track Speed Skating and Figure Skating during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games and is currently home to the WHL's Vancouver Giants hockey team.

No single location in Vancouver captures the spirit and history of this city, its people and its many achievements as the Pacific National Exhibition. For over 100 years, millions of guests have enjoyed shows, exhibits, sporting events, amusement rides, concerts, cultural activities and, of course, the annual Fair at the PNE.

The 2017 Fair at the PNE is August 19 to September 4 (closed Monday, August 21 & 28)

My friend and I went to the Mad Decent Block Party concert, only buying tickets to the concert because it included the fair. We were told at the Main Gate by a staff member that we would be able to enter the park with our concert tickets. It also said this on the website. Everybody at the main gate was... More

The PNE is just not the same, the attractions have changed and just are not that appealing (to me anyways). The logger sports are gone, the motorcycle and quad drivers are gone, the Peking Acrobats are gone and so is a lot of the excitement. The end of night show used to be great and packed, but it too is... More

We arrived at the PNE today at 3:45 p.m., waited in a car lineup, paid $16 to park (far from an entrance with no signage to direct people). We'd been told by a neighbor that today there was no entry charge, (not why we went today) but anyhow, we got to the PNE entry booth and were told no, that... More

Hate to say this cause I love the PNE but I am not sure I'll go again. The food and shopping have a lot of overlap creating an homogeneous feel. From year to year there is nothing really new. The line ups to the rides were crazy long (over three hours for the beast) so after waiting in the line... More

We were going to a concert at the amphitheatre and since the last bus going back to west Van was pretty early, and we didn't want to leave the concert early, we thought we would drive. Mistake!!!! We drove around the block twice from lot to lot, directed by the young staff patrolling the parking lots. 1.5 hours we waited.... More

We actually had a good time there ,I just felt bad for the family of five behind us inline for ride tickets, I think it was around $41 a ticket for them and I was sure they couldn't afford it . There was also an option for $20 more per ticket so that you could bud in front of the... More

Lots of rides, shows and food stalls. The area is so large, that you need to walk 15 mins from entry to the end. Reservation of seats for the show is recommended, as the popular shows are usually full (visitor reserved the seats). Rides are more for the teens while I find show is more for younger kids There is... More

I have been going to the fair for many years and always enjoy it. I really enjoyed going to the beer craft, the area was set up nicely and the beers I tried tasted fantastic.

We attended the PNE after the big storm on Aug 29th and the PNE seemed to recover quite well. No signs of any damage and there were lots of people in attendance. The market pavilon was packed! Many merchants selling their wares. The best for us was the Super Dog show - I have seen the attendance increase over the... More

Going to the PNE is a tradition for us. It takes us a few visits each summer to do everything we like, plus the Summer Nights Concerts are the best. Those concerts are free with your paid gate admission, which is reasonable.A new attraction is the Duelling Pianos, where you submit song titles to the two piano players to see... More
