This place is awesome, the view is spectacular, and you can swim in salt water. The cost is very affordable for families, and so much fun.

One of Vancouver's Gems. The largest Saltwater public pool in Vancouver located right on Kits beach. If you love to swim and are looking for a fun summer experience don't miss this one. It can get busy on hot summer days and you'll have to pay for parking.

This outdoor pool is beside Kitsilano beach is one of the largest in Vancouver. It's clean, not cold and fenced with lifeguards in strategic places. There are shallow parts for children and lap lanes for the athletics. Although it is a saltwater pool, the taste of the water was not salty at all. The temperature of the water is just... More

Huge pool, great for the kids, next to Kits beach. Wasn't too crowded even on a really hot day. Different depths so good for all ages.

This is a city-run huge heated saltwater pool with lifeguards on duty. Flat rates are cheap to stay as long as you wish. Free parking nearby. Bring own towels.

We visited on warm but cloudy August day, and found that our 2,5 year old was ready to come up after 2 min teeth chattering. Other than that, the pool itself is impressive and nice. The locker rooms, toilets etc are quite run-down.

Here is great..salt water and outdoors and yet by the ocean. You can do laps or just relax and as you swim you can overlook the mountains , be in the sun, or just relax and let your kids swims.

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
