If you use hwy 101 for commuting, then you will hate summers. It is so windy with poorly banked corners that it is a guessing game if you have to slow to the number on the slow for corner ahead signs. Some label slow to...More

This highway is a total of 97 miles in length and will require 2 ferry trips from the mainland. To do the trip justice, it needs several days to explore. We spent 4 days in the area, staying 2 nights in Powell River and 2...More

This is a trip to take if you have about two or three days to enjoy it. Long winding roads into Arbutus and Rock cliffs. Ocean views unparalled.

From travel guides, I was led to believe that paying the excessive BC Ferries fee would lead to an awesome coastal drive. However, this highway has been moved inland and it was mostly a forest drive. In typical rural BC highway fashion, signage was limited,...More

I traversed the Sunshine Highway BC 101, during my holiday week in October. I based in Sechelt, and chose daily routes to explore, so that I covered the entire hwy 101 route over that week. The route from Sechelt to Lund includes yet another ferry,...More

This is a beautiful drive on a sunny day. There are lots of winding road sections but they are all very safe as long as you stick to posted limits. Enjoy the ferries, especially if you go up to Powell River as there are 2...More

The scenery and driving fun is spectacular. Please be careful and drive safe but this is a motorcycle, sports car (top down) dream...finish it off with a ride up to Whistler for lunch at the top of the lift.
