We really enjoyed our quick boat ride across to here. We were renting a house so we picked up all those special food items that make trips special... pacific NW salmon, maple syrup, maple butter, macaroons, Italian cheese and olive oil, etc. Lovely products sold by lovely people. It was a great place to go!

Granville Public Market is a great place to spend a day. We caught a little ferry across from False Creek to Granville Island which cost about $2 each and took about 5 minutes. The Markets have a huge undercover area which has all kinds of local produce, handmade crafts and all kinds of gifts. We went to the food court... More

Recently visited the public market as part of a walking tour. The market itself was smaller than I had expected but definitely did not disappoint. There are lots of different vendors selling fresh local food as well as artists selling handcrafted goods. I am glad we booked the tour since navigating on our own would have been difficult. Some of... More

A good place for lunch, or to buy fresh vegetables or flowers; lots of great gift ideas, handmade arts and crafts, chocolates and bakery goods. The main market is bustling and busy. It is full of smells, sound and color. There are shops surrounding the main market which offer sculpture, photos, clothing, toys, and services. Parking is hard at times... More

My husband, sons and I had the pleasure of visiting Granville Island Public Market last June. I so wished that we had access to a kitchen because I would have loved to shop for meat, fish, produce and baked goods and prepare a meal. I was jealous of those who could. So much fresh, beautiful things, displayed so nicely.

In this Market, you can find a large variety of International food, it has some tables inside and outside of the stablishment for eating your food, but is crowded, more in winter. I think the prices are high because the products are from their original country or trying to get the tipical flavor. Also it has stands of fruit, doughnuts,... More

I'm moving to Vancouver if I could live in one of the condominiums across the island and take the ferry to buy my fruits, vegetables, bread and cheese from this market. I probably wouldn't have to cook because I can just eat there too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town.

If you love food... like we do...then you need to come here. Sadly , we couldnt take much away with us, as we are travelling (cheese probably wouldn't be so good in our suitcase after 10 days) and we couldnt eat our way through all the stalls in a single day!.. We were able to consume a very delicious lunch... More

The market has an amazing, though somewhat expensive, selection of produce, seafood, meats, and every other imaginable choice of food items to choose from. The best part though are the many specialty food stalls that serve up a dizzying selection of meals from the Vancouver's many cultures and cuisines.
