Metro Theatre is a great place to support local amateur theatre. Just saw Up and Coming a classic farce which was really enjoyable. Very well casted and great performances by all seven of the cast. Really recommend it, and it’s a cheap night out!

Metro Theatre offers a relaxed and affordable night out. It’s such fun to support amateur actors who pour their hearts into the performance. There is some serious talent out there. On opening nights meet the cast by staying after the play for a drink (great...More

It's a great old theatre. Cool bar upstairs. But I had season's tickets last year and found the shows quite mediocre, some even poor. They need to update their shows. Put on something new and interesting.

The annual panto is back again. King Arthur and his Knights. Some Python, some Beatles and a huge cast make this a really fun event. High quality singing and dancing and a dame to die for. Highly recommended. One caveat, bar service is painfully slow...More

Older theatre. Comfortable seating. Went to see calendar girls which was done well. Seemed to be allot of set changes. Think they were fairly new actors at least not much said in there bios. Good play and theatre. Good for an inexpensive outing and entertainment.

This season has been fantastic! I come to see the shows here with my Grandmother, as well as friends to enjoy an evening of howling laughter, or weeping cries. Lovely atmosphere! Great family-friendly shows, at very affordable prices. The lounge upstairs is great for a...More

Saw the play Heatstroke here on Thursday 24th September. An excellently scripted, well known farce, well acted out. This theatre seems to be a small theatre, well run in cooperation with the local community. There is a small stand selling nibbles, coffee and soda sited...More
