We stopped in for a taste of wonderful beer-ale selections at the Irish Heather in British Vancouver. Wonderful town... and had wonderfully friendly experience at this pub. The bartender was both knowledgeable and very friendly. Was a delightful break at a "friendly Ireland in Canada".

Made to feel welcome from stepping through the door, fed and watered with proper Irish fare and sent on our way with a smile on our faces and a vow to return.

While I'm sure The Irish Heather gets cranking in the evening, it was actually empty of all customers when we stopped by about 3;00 in the afternoon. We ordered drinks and some bar nuts, and enjoyed talking to the bartender about places to visit or...More

A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and

being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many
plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell
the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
