The Emily Carr exhibit was large and worth it. The rest of the gallery was sparse and had large rooms with not much on display.

We had an hour and change to spare and found this gem of a museum. It is small but it has some incredibly interesting exhibits including asian art, Emily Carr, and some intriguing modern work. Absolutely worth it!

We went to the Art gallery when we saw they had an Emily Carr exhibition on and were very glad we did. It is small but had some very interesting exhibits.

This is a short visit to Victoria. I did not have too much time to spend at the AGV, but I decided to go anyway since I wanted to see E Carr’s work on display. As always, I was moved by her extraordinary paintings and...More

Quaint art gallery off the beaten path. I really enjoyed my time, and went specifically to see Emily Carr's work. I hoped they would have masses and masses of her art, but what they did have satiated me for the time being. Also would have...More

Interesting small gallery with guided tours of the Emily Carr exhibition. Good to understand why she is becoming so closely identified with BC and some of the issues associated with her interactions with the indigenous nations. Also a really well preserved mansion with further exhibits...More

The AGGV has a couple of very interesting exhibitions right now, one of prints by First Nations artists, the other of the intersection between the forest and technology. One room had works by Emily Carr from the permanent collection. The gallery is small, but it...More

While visiting Victoria I heard that this gallery was worth a visit. It is an interesting place where modern meets old. Part of it is an old house and part a more modern newer construction. Inside, the galleries of at maze through the building with...More

We loved our time at the gallery. The gallery is small but exhibits were beautiful and thought provoking. There was an app that you could download to add to your experience of the Emily Carr paintings but we didn’t find the app useful or informative.
