This is a Great place to view a movie but many of the shows have not been that spectacular. The annual pass is a good way to go.

Dear stbpens, Thank you for being an IMAX Victoria Annual Pass holder and for taking the time to post a review. As you know our daytime documentary shows (playing on the hour) are general admission without assigned seats. Guests usually queue on our entry ramp prior to seating and the wait time can vary depending on how busy the show... More

We did the Museum/IMAX package and we were amazed! The movie we went to was in 3D. The glasses they provided were of the highest quality. I've only ever had glasses of this quality in Florida! It was an under the sea movie, narrated by Jim Carey, he cracked a couple of jokes but it was more of an educational... More

My husband and I decided to visit the Imax in Victoria BC and loved the first show so much that we watched all the shows. It is captivating and is an experience you will not want to miss if you are visiting the area.

Saw a 3DIMAX movie regarding Henry Bates explorations of the Amazon and the story behind his mimicry work. The facility is very nice and impressive. The latest in movie technology and the theater provides a very amazing experience. Well worth the price.

We watched Amazon 3d as a family and the kids loved it. The 3d was amazing. Everything was so close and real. The show itself was great. If you get a pass for the museum as well it's a better bang for your buck.

We saw a 1 hour movie on the Amazon. It was a mini-movie that documented the life of an explorer and we found it to be interesting and entertaining. The cost is very reasonable and there are a number of movies/shows that run throughout the day. Not just a rainy day thing to do :) Would definitely go back.

Super comfy seats, great sound, perfect picture and fresh popcorn. We went for a limited showing of La La Land and it was amazing. We got lucky. We saw the last local showing of Star Wars Rogue One. The series has always been a visual experience, but to see it In IMAX is beyond anything you can imagine. This is the largest screen In the province. The 3d effect is mind boggling.

Nice theatre, seats recline ... if you sit in the back row nobody will notice you making out. Make sure to return the glasses or the security gate will beep. Oh and the popcorn is good!

... Except the projectionist in our projection booth (above and behind the back row)! :) Many thanks for the kind words, Tim, and for the suggestion to others about preventing the alarms going off due to wayward 3D glasses. Unfortunately, these 3D glasses cost about $50 CDN each pair and can only be used with the IMAX laser 6P system.... More
