    Best part of Victoria
Sigh, this is one of the loveliest parks in which I have been able to visit, and that's compared to places like St James and Central parks in London and NYC. It's well groomed, beautiful trees, flowers, gardens. Bridges and sculptures, architecture to appreciate, stepping in you immediately feel peaceful and rested even though you are still right in the city. And the wildlife is amazing - saw rabbits, deer, just grazing like they're out in the wild. Just such a wonderful walk and my favorite part of Victoria.

    Beautiful park!
What a beautiful space! I wish I could have spent more time here. There is a petting zoo, wonderful gardens and the largest totem pole in the world! Definitely worth a stroll, lots of great nature.

    A Must See
If in Victoria, set aside some time to visit Beacon Hill Park. Great location right near fisherman's wharf. Plenty of hotels nearby. You can just stroll by the numerous ponds and gardens or take a horse drawn tour. Lots of food choices within minutes......well worth it!

    A place of peace
This is the first place I bring my guests when they stay with me in Victoria. It's a great location for a picnic, a stroll amongst a variety of mature trees and beautifully maintained gardens, a silent meditation beside tranquil ponds, stream side or fountains. The rare Garry Oak can be found here, there are concerts at the small stage, birdlife aplenty and a petting zoo nearby. Free parking is available and a small splash area for kids.

    Peace and tranquility
Beautiful and well maintained gardens, water areas and trails. It was very wet when we went, so we stayed on the main paths, but there are many trail options. Stunning trees, floral displays and fauna all over. Such a peaceful and relaxing oasis in Victoria.

You will find surprises in this park
We never miss a visit to Beacon Hill park when we are in Victoria. It’s a great place to walk about and also encounter peacocks, ducks, owls and lots of squirrels. Spring time is beautiful with all of the flowers and trees blossoming. You can connect to the beach and walk and explore for some time if you want.

So much here (and a totem pole too!)
Every time I go to this park I've forgotten how multifaceted it is: there are playground areas, ponds with wildlife, trees with wildlife, a petting zoo, a putting green, cricket field etc. Lots of room for parking, lots of places to stroll or sit or hang about. Bring a book, a picnic and spend the entire day here in this place designed for people's pleasure in a natural setting. And it's free!!!

    Good park
Very nice park, a lot to see. A very close walk from downtown on the opposite side the water is there so you can keep your walk going by continuing to walk along the water. The petting zoo is also very fun, but can get busy in the summer.

The park is within walking distance of Downtown. The grass, trees, water, flowers and play areas are super nice. Why I didn't give it five green dots? There is only one restroom in the entire park, that we could find. The "dog park" is not fenced in, so I wouldn't call it a dog park, and there are no signs directing you to park features, such as the dog park. We had to stop people to ask how to get there. Fortunately, we found that Canadians are very friendly and happy to help.

I biked through Beacon Hill Park on my own. The park features a petting farm and beautiful peacocks roaming around. It was a nice experience, whether biking or walking through the area.
