The park has undergone some renovations and upgrades, including new memorial statues and plaques. The walkways are also much easier to navigate, especially for those with mobility issues. Though the address is apparently Preston Ave, the park fronts on busy Portage Avenue, but it manages to be an oasis from the noise and bustle. The park, and the statuary in it, commemorates those who fought in the 1st World War. There is a...More

If you enjoy memorials, place to go. Great green spaces combined with historical monuments. They have just upgraded around the Vimy Ridge Memorial, and given some TLC to the memorial itself.

Nice park on the major street just west of downtown. Memorials in honour of Winnipegers who fought at Vimy Ridge. Good use of green space. A kids play area at the south end with washroom facilities available
