We were greeted by very welcoming young staff. They welcomed us and told us how to proceed within the museum. There was a short exposition on WWI, and then we continued on to the Acadian History exhibit. All is very well documented and presented. Entry is usually $5 for adults, but today was free! I would recommend the museum to... More

Entry fee is reasonable and the displays fascinating. As it was lunch time we went up the hill to the student refectory and had a very acceptable lunch surrounded by folk much younger than ourselves!

This is pretty easy to find, on the way to the information area, we saw it just to the left of us. There is paid parking, but my lady dropped me off for a couple of hours to get reacquainted with my Acadian relatives and their history. The true test of a museum is, "Did it teach me something new"?... More

Young people staffing the desk were most helpful. They cheerfully looked for the answers to questions about Acadian history in Nova Scotia during Le Grande Derangement while we toured the museum. And they recommended Tony's Cafe and Patisserie for lunch. Excellent choice. And of greatest importance to our visit, they suggested we speak to Stephen White about our genealogy questions... More

We went as a group while I was taking a class in university. There was an exposition of paintings and sculptures. It was really interesting and the workers were really informative. On the other side is the Acadian part, extremely interesting. It explains a lot of stuff about the deportation and the history of Acadians. You will not be disappointed.... More

We visited the museum on a rainy day and were the only ones in it. A bit sad as it has good displays and offers a short, concise history of Acadian settlement and expulsion from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

A well organized museum giving the history of Acadians from their early days in la nouvelle france, the deportation, and the renewal of the Acadian culture to this very day. All explanations (texts and audio) are in both English and French. The museum is just the right size, not too big. I was extremely impressed with the quality of exhibits.... More

since we came to Moncton to search Acadian history, this was the place to go. Well displayed and the narratives confirmed some of what we new and helped with new information (leads). Highly recommend a visit. Even if your not Acadian.

The staff at the Acadian Museum is by far the most knowledgeable people on Acadian history. They train the student staff here very well and are always willing to go the extra mile.

Interesting topics that change on a regular basis. Staff are very informative and layout of displays allows ample time to take everything in separately. Everything has a hint of Acadian history tucked inside the displays. A treat for all Acadians and their heritage. A hidden jewel on the campus of the Universite de Moncton.
