The Harbourside Park offers a number of information panels providing history of St. John's harbour and the role of trade on the open seas. There are also two great statues of the province's "national dogs" - the Newfoundland and the Labrador Retriever - nice views...More

A living, working exhibit -- right by the water -- tons of shops servicing the oil fields and bringing in or exporting cargo.

A pleasant park in downtown with some cute dog sculptures and a great display on the history of the town and area. Pretty green space, nice in the middle of town.

This was a wonderful place on the water to put your feet up and eat lunch. I loved the statues of the Newfoundland dogs - we never saw ONE dog in our week-long visit. Beautiful location.

Not a surprise! There are two statues, one of a Newfoundland dog and the other of a Labrador dog. I never put the two together to realize that these breeds actually came from this area. There are storyboards there that explain this.
