I have seen much better. This is more about ships than railroads but the two are integrally related, though interesting. I would suggest going there only if you are in the area and have not seen or read about the province's history or if you...More

This place probably does not get all the visitors it deserves because it is a little out of the way downtown. But it is worth finding. First of all, the people at the front desk were so hospitable, even to suggesting they provide a wheelchair...More

For train enthusiasts, a great history of the railways in Newfoundland as well as the associated coastal boat service. Lots of pictures and some artifacts but you wont find the vehicles themselves except for sad two cars and a diesel parked beside the building.

We spent 2 1/2 hours in this museum and could have spent more time there. There were so many displays, information to read, interesting short movie presentations to see. Great exhibit that makes you realize how lucky we are to be able to reap the...More

With the advantage of the actual station which seems spacious the interesting exhibits are limited to the ground floor. It is a pity that the museum can't take advantage of the upper floors too. Something in context is lacking and enthusiasm isn't evident which is...More

The museum is a ground level venue. Lots of open space for a toddler to burn off steam. There is a few rail cars outside but it is a static unit. No train rides.
