I would give a zero rating for customer service if I could. We called the office on the morning of our aurora viewing to find out when our rental winter wear would be delivered. The lady said she had no idea. When told we have an aurora viewing booked with them the same night, she said it would be sometime... More

No shops or cafes for tourists to patronize. Snowmobile, dog sledding, snowshoeing and Snowmobile are the activities available at the village. If you take only an activty there then you can spend the rest of your waiting in the tipi before you return to town.

They have an area around prosperous lake, with many tents. Unlimited coffe/tea/hot chocolate inside, and bathrooms WITH HEAT (if you have ever been to YK for tours, you know how important that is in winter). They also have firepits where you can toast marshmallows. A ice slop ride, a ice "throne". They also do other activities (snowshoes, ice fishing etc)... More

We went to Yellowknife to see the Northern Lights, and on the first night we visited the Aurora Village: it was the best decision we could have made! After booking online, a bus picked us on the hotel and took us to the village. It was approx. 1 hour away, but totally worth it. We were assigned a tee-pee -... More

That's the minimum that you're likely to spend for a few days on Aurora Village tour package (with airfare). The promotion for Aurora Village is extensive, but don't count on seeing the Northern Lights. When you do they're spectacular. When the clouds cover Yellowknife, as they often do, expect an experience of cramped teepees, riding in kindergarten school buses and... More

It situates on a camp site by a small lake. A few hill top observation points but extra fee. Lot of people, 4 or 5 bus loads, so it is hard to take good pictures: always someone walked into your picture or flash a light. The tee-pees (tent) were very cold, not much a warm-up that you would need after... More

This is one of the best places for Aurora Borealis viewing . Nice and picturesque tents, well organized, good facilities. A little bit more expensive than others, though, and you're required to pay extra money if want to extend your stay.

The Aurora Village was very big, organized and fitted with traveller friendly facilities like washrooms, chairs, special tent for the group and tour guides. The place was large, able to accomodate a lot of people. There were hot stove and beverages inside the tent. The guides came on working holiday from different parts of the world. All these made my... Personally I prefer small group tour therefore I would say the night with this company was average. Facilities were good with washroom.

We pre-booked the aurora viewing tour in September, and took the tour on the first day of our arrival in Yellowknife, October 1. It's not a clear day, but we saw clear aurora that night. We are so blessed. Tour package is easy to book on their website, with different language options. On time and easy pick-up and drop-off service.
